New book coming in January
Hi! I’m excited to let you know I have a new book being released in January 2009 titled 50 High-Impact, Low-Care Garden Plants: Tough But Beautiful Plants that Anyone Can Grow. I think it will be useful for all of us with busy lives seeking dynamic, outstanding plants that are also low care. Many are deer, pest and insect resistant, drought tolerant, long lived, they don’t require frequent pruning, daily deadheading, fertilizing, regular division or staking. What a dream come true! Click on the BOOKS tab for more info or click on the cover photo to visit the Timber Press website.

Tracy,
It was great to hear your talk about 50 high-impact, low-care garden plants at the 2009 nursery short course and especially that you included woodies as well as perennials in the talk as well as in your new book. The book is the perfect addition to any designer’s library of reference material. The selection of plants is a virtual “Who’s Who” of tough, dependable horticultural fare and opened my palette to some new or underused plants as well. I have already recommended the book as well as the plants to several co-workers.
A fellow plant and poultry lover,
Matt
Matt, Thanks so much for your wonderful response to my talk at the Ohio Nursery short course and to 50 high-impact, low- care plants. It means a lot to me that you consider them the “Who’s Who” of indomitable plants and that they have your validation. I know what a keen plantsman, you are–especially with the woodies!! Thanks also for spreading the word to your co-workers…and watch for a fun blog/photo of a “Space Chicken” soon. Best success with everything, Tracy
